Falun Borlänge-regionen - ESF-project

The ESF project Lyftkraft Dalarna is aimed at private companies that have been affected in some way by the pandemic, for example through notices and layoffs, but it can also be through increased demand, restructuring and expanded operations. Through the project, companies can develop the skills of their employees free of charge through various types of training that are financed by the project. The project runs between 2020-2022.

Through targeted skills development efforts for participating companies and their employees, the risk of people becoming unemployed due to the pandemic is reduced and employers have a better opportunity to supply skills through a broadened recruitment base.

– “The project has been important for several companies in the county. We have the opportunity to work with companies of all sizes, from sole proprietorships to large corporations, because the project focuses on individuals. For us, it has been important right from the start that the skills development efforts are of high quality and that we use the EU funds in the best possible way. We are happy that the participants’ evaluations show that we, together with our training providers, have succeeded,” says Ida Söderlund, Lyftkraft Dalarna project manager.

Peter & Partner has been trusted to deliver training in Microsoft 365, Digital Marketing, Photo & Video and Finance.

– It has been a lot of fun working with Ida and the Falun Borlänge region. The variety of both companies and roles has been inspiring. It is clear that ESF projects in general and Lyftkraft Dalarna in particular make a big difference, says Lisa Åkergren, marketing manager at Peter & Partner.

Big commitment

Although the trainings were free of charge, the participating companies co-financed the project with their time, which for many smaller companies is a large investment. In the vast majority of cases, time is a scarce commodity. We at Peter & Partner are extremely impressed by the commitment, both on the part of the project organization and the participating companies.

- The collaboration with Peter & Partner has been very valuable, above all for the smaller companies that rarely have the opportunity to set aside time for skills development. Peter & Partner has been flexible and always adapted to the needs of the project and the companies. We have really felt the commitment and drive from Peter & Partner, both from course leaders and other staff, says Ida Söderlund.

Final phase

The project is now in the final phase, where the last courses are carried out in the autumn, after which an evaluation awaits. Peter & Partner has a few efforts left to deliver, both within Excel and Digital Marketing. But first a much-needed summer rest awaits.
